Technical Build Support – Learning & Development

About the Role
Fixed Term, Part-time – 20 hours per week
The role of the Technical Build Support is a part-time role for a fixed term of 6 months.
The purpose of this role is to implement tailored learning and development experiences and create resources in learning formats that meet the organisations training requirements. The Technical Build Support role works closely with the Senior Learning Advisor, who provides creative and learning focused direction around the content, methodologies, asset development, design, key languaging, technical and publishing tools used to build training resources.
We’re looking for a creative, forward thinking, self-motivated someone to join our small team. Alongside asking for help, an ability to request and positively apply critique is vital to this role. If you work well with guidance and direction, use your initiative and regularly consult with other team members, we would like to hear from you.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience in training, learning facilitation or teaching ;
- Experience within the social sector;
- Stay current and updated with industry developments;
- Skilled in complex technical analysis and design implementation;
- Analysis of family violence;
- Current with online and in person learning and design development;
- A relevant tertiary qualification and or extensive experience using Articulate, Canva, video, image and photographic editing (backend development and design);
- Align to and work within Refuge values;
- Follow Kaupapa and SLA direction;
- Support Technical and development suggestions with sound reasoning;

About the role
This part-time role is varied and works across all facets of fundraising, marketing, and communications – every day is different!
The core of the role focuses on the support of our fundraising systems that that engage, maintain, acknowledge, and report on donations as well as providing administrative support for the team.
In addition, this role provides the opportunity to work on exciting projects, dynamic campaigns like the award-winning Gift a Safe Night initiative, and a range of events.
What you will bring
Ideally you will be a go getter who is looking to be a part of a creative, collaborative team that is open to fresh ideas and making things happen.
Being familiar with fundraising and/or marketing platforms and have worked in the fundraising, marketing or public relations sectors would be a plus. Related experience and/or training education would be valuable in this role, with an opportunity to grow and hone skills in the fundraising, marketing and communications space.

KAIPOU ĀRAHI MĀORI COORDINATOR & SUPPORT WORKER

About the role:
This position supports the work of the Whakawhanake Māori Pou to guide and implement practices that ensure the needs of Māori are met in ways that best suit Māori. There is a strong internal focus on organisational and staff development to improve National Office’s responsiveness to Māori, by embedding cultural activities, programs and projects which align with our parallel development pou.
This role requires skills and expertise that support facilitating the setup of wānanga to member refuges, using our current resources at National Office. Maintaining empathetic relationships, supporting development and delivery of Māori frameworks and principles that encourage safe practices. It requires forming and maintaining empathetic relationships with colleagues and Refuges. Furthermore, it will support the development and delivery of Māori frameworks and principles that encourage safe practices.
As this role requires working closely with member refuges, an ability to travel nationally at short notice and time away from home for various periods of time is essential.
The ideal candidate for this role enjoys strong team participation, and gains satisfaction from work well done. The team works closely together and being a good team player is essential.
Experience working for a not-for-profit organisation would be an advantage but not essential. If you have at least two year’s experience working in a coordinator or support role, we would like to hear from you!
Emphasis will be on:
- The coordination of wānanga Māori to member Refuges
- Supporting the Whakawhanake Māori Pou at National Office to develop content and maintain wānanga delivery.
- Supporting the member Refuges in the development of Tikanga Māori programmes for whānau in service.
- Supporting Māori kaimahi in the movement to develop and grow their practices in Te Ao Māori
- Supporting the Kaitiaki Tangata and the Mātanga Whakawhanake Māori with the mahi of the National Office Whakawhanake Māori team.
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with Māori Whare and Māori Kaimahi across the organisation in the context of NCIWR’s cornerstone of Parallel Development.
